F1 2012 Preview part II

Here’s the continued preview, the teams who will be fighting nearer the back of the grid……

Force India

After flattering to deceive somewhat at times last season, Force India will have another season where they are inconsistent, occasionally delivering the odd top 8 finish where the track suits them but generally scrapping over the last points paying position.

diResta will have a point to prove and be the team’s most consistent driver and there will be rumours of him leaving for a bigger team before the end of the season.

Hulkenberg will struggle to score more than a handful of points though, I see him scoring somewhere in single figures unfortunately, but I may well be wrong!

Toro Rosso

Toro Rosso will also disappoint while their sister team Red Bull win many races they’ll be fighting with Force India quite closely over most of the season.  Ultimately their inexperienced driver line-up will see them just beaten by Force India over the course of the season.

Caterham

Caterham will make solid strides forward this season and will be genuine midfield runners at many races, Kovalainen will pick up some top 7 finishes with Petrov backing him up quite nicely and they will be in touch with Force India and Toro Rosso come the end of the season.

Williams

Another tough year for Williams who will struggle to score ANY points at all.  Maldonado will score the odd point but I doubt Senna will.

Marussia

Tough struggle for Marussia, there must be some question marks over their survival, Glock might score a point or two if they get lucky, but that’s about it.

HRT

No chance for HRT in my opinion, another team who will struggle to survive the season, pointless.

With less than 6 days now until the first race in Australia, I cannot wait!
